Quest For Flowers Part 1

Join me on my quest, as I search for pictures of sweet smelling and colourful flowers. First stop, the local park!

Uh...... Well, they are sweet smelling, but not so clouruful. The 1st one is OK, but the 2nd is ...... below average. 1st attempt : PASS Better try again next time.

It's a Durian Life

The fruits in these pictures are durians (but I think most people already know that) that I saw at the Penang Tropical Fruit Farm.

Although it was hi-time for these durians to have fallen to the ground, but for some reason they just remained hanging on the tree like birds who did'nt want to leave the nest.

Anyway, I'm not a very big durian fan as I think that they sink, are too sweet and are hard to open because of its thorns. It is also because they are'nt available anytime like apples, oranges etc. etc.

Note. The durians in the 2nd and 3rd picture are the exact same durians.

Mesa Called Jar Jar Binks

Jar Jar Binks is iconic due to his 1st appearance in Star Wars Episode I : The Phantom Menace.

He is a Gungun from the planet of Naboo and talks with a lisp. He appears in every film of the prequal series. However, his fate remains unknown. His catchphrase "How Rude!" is also famous and a favourite of me and my friend Ryan.

However, due to him being a comic relief character for the child audience, many fans of the original trilogy rejected him and this resulted in him not being featured prominantly in subsequant films.

Rancors

These are images of rancors from the Star Wars franchise taken from the Penang Toy Museum. Although appearing in numerous items outside the film series, the most famous rancor of the Star Wars franchise is Jabba's Rancor who appeared in Star Wars Episode VI : Return Of The Jedi. Here some information on the species itself.

Rancors were large, carnivorous and semi-sentient reptomammels orginating from the planet of Dathomir. They are always born brown, but in some cases, such as the albino rancor above and the mutant rancor, the colour may have differed. Although they also originated from Felucia and Lehon and brought by crashed starships to Otthetan, Carethan and Corulag, the rancors from Dathomir were said to be stronger and more intelligent then others. It has been used for many things, ranging from the mounts of the Witches Of Dathomir to pets for crimelords such as Jabba The Hutt to being used as a food source.

Like any species of creature, the rancor is also divided into subspecies which are the bull rancor, the Coloi, the gnarled rancor, the jungle rancor, the mutant rancor mentioned above, the rancor pygmy, the tyrant rancor, the Tra'cor and the Chrysalide .

Welcome......To JURASSIC PARK !

The lines on the title are quoted by John Hammond in the original "Jurassic Park" film, so I figured that I could just borrow them.

These are a set of toys from the Jurassic Park series of films, books, games etc. from the Peanang Toy Museum. There's the main gate of Jurassic Park, an electric fence, a helicopter, weapons and vehicles used by the hunters. Besides that, there's also an unidentified worker who's opening the gate, somebody who looks like Alan Grant ( I can't see his face ), a hunter ( To be frank I'm not sure who that is ), someone who looks like another hunter and Eric Kirby being snatched up by a Pteranodon. The dinosaurs in this shot are a velociraptor antirrhopus "nublarensis", a velociraptor antirrhopus "sorneansis", some pteranodon longiceps "hipocritus", a spinosaurus aejypticus "robustus", a pachycepholosaurus ( in the net ) and a triceratops ( but I can't see it's head ).

If you look closely at the glass, your can see Lara the Tombraider's blury reflection on it.

King Kong

This is me with a giant action figure of the world famous "King Kong" taken from the Penang Toy Museum. If you look closely at King Kong's mouth, you'll see a blury image of the photogropher of this shot, my dad. Next here's some information on King Kong:

King Kong is a Megaprimatus kong from Skull Island, according to the 2005 King Kong remake. He makes his debut in the 1933 film, "King Kong" and has made many other appearences since then. A sequel released in the same year, "Son Of Kong" is about a return expodition to the island and they discover Kong's son. And then, during 1962 and 1967, Toho features King Kong in 2 Japanese films, "King Kong vs. Godzilla" and "King Kong Escapes".

Then, in 1976, Paramount Picutres made a remake of the orginal 1933 film also titled "King Kong". 10 years later, the exact same director and producer of the 1976 remake made another sequel to King Kong titled "King Kong Lives" where King Kong survives and mates with another Megaprimatus kong. Sadly, this film was criticised by nearly every critic and was a box-office failure. The last, most succesful and longest King Kong remake is the 2005 "King Kong". In this movie and the the sequel book, all of the inhabitants of Skull Island are given scientific names, such as Vastatosaurus Rex and Vanatosaurus.

Besides appearing in films, King Kong has also appeared in countless TV series as a pop culture reference but stars in 2 TV series, which are "The King Kong Show" and "Kong : The Animated Series". The second and more recent series even received a direct to DVD film titled "Kong : King Of Atlantis.

Stitch!

This is a set of toys of characters from the movies : Lilo & Stitch, Lilo & Stitch 2 Stitch Has A Glitch, Stitch The Movie and Leroy & Stitch at the Penang Toy Museum.

The most obvious and important toy is, of course, the gigantic Stitch plush toy in the centre, with an action figure of Stitch in his original clothes, Lilo in a grass skirt and Lilo holding her Skrump doll. And, if you look closely, there are also some mini-figures of Lilo, Stitch, Nani, Cobra Bubbles, Jumba and Pleakly.
